Chakra Sunday! – The Crown Chakra

I’m here on a Sunday! Yay! And ready to give you the final instalment of our Chakra series with the seventh chakra, located on the top of the head, the Crown. This Chakra connects us to our spirituality and belief system, it is directly connected to Source, and physically supports our central nervous system and brain functions.

When this vital Chakra is out of sync and off balance, we can experience depression and confusion about our place in life and it can trigger feelings of loneliness and detachment.

While there are Chakras above and below our physical bodies, the Crown Chakra is typically considered the highest, and vibrates with the colour purple, which vibrates directly beneath white light and pure energy. It is possibly one of the more difficult Chakras to balance and is one that requires work and effort in order to open, maintain, and nourish it. The Crown Chakra is associated most heavily with spiritual enlightenment, and therefore its ability to be balanced also relates quite strongly to the balance of the other six Chakras. Imbalance between the Chakras when the Crown is open can cause all manner of upset and can prove to be more troublesome, so work on this Chakra inline with the others, and concentrate on an energetic balance between them all.

To work with this Chakra and help bring it in to balance, sit comfortably and allow your breathing to fall into a steady rhythm. With each exhalation, imagine a beautiful violet lotus flower opening and unfurling on top of your head. As the lotus opens, imagine a beam of pure white light pouring into it from above and filling your whole body via each of the other Chakras in turn. Say out loud, or to yourself;

“I am connected to spirit. I am connected to source. I recognise the divine in all living things.”

Repeat as often as you feel necessary.

Surrounding yourself with the colour purple is a great way to help heal this Chakra, as is eating purple grapes, purple potatoes and carrots, aubergines etc, but remember that the Crown is connected to spirit and is more nourished by prayer and meditation than food itself. Drinking plenty of fresh water and making sure your diet is full of fresh fruits and vegetables will help all your Chakras, however.

Amethyst is the perfect crystal to hold and wear to connect with this Chakra, as well as Selenite and Quartz, which all vibrate at extremely high frequencies.

Remember to keep all your Chakras in check when you’re working with your Crown, allow it to connect to all six and make sure you practice good grounding techniques if your are working on opening it.

This whole series has been so much fun, there is so much you can learn about yourself by paying attention to your Chakra energies. So much of our emotional and physical wellbeing is influenced by these vital energy-organs and you can notice massive improvements in many areas of your life when you start to balance them.

Enjoy, you beautiful folks, you…but I have much more to share so don’t go too far away 😉 xxx

Let’s talk about vibration!

I have touched upon this subject before, and truth be told, there is so much to this topic that it’s hard to stay on it without going off on tangents about all sorts of things, since, of course, everything is connected…But hopefully this goes into a little more detail so you can start to grasp just how important this subject is to your overall mental health and well being (as well as your physical health, but again, that’s a subject in itself).

I often find myself telling people that all they need to do is raise their vibration…it really does account for a multitude of sins and if we could all just vibrate a little higher, the world would be a much happier place! But most people are entirely confused by my statement. Most people have no idea that an awful lot of how they are thinking and feeling is directly associated to their vibrational frequency and that they are most likely trapped in an ever-increasing downward spiral, allowing their vibration to get lower and lower and lower…

So, what the heck and I talking about?

Well, we are all vibrational beings. This is an indisputable fact. You are made of atoms and molecules, at the very core of your being, that is what you are. The exact same atoms and molecules that make up the rest of the Universe…the seas, the skies, the mountains, and even the stars. All atoms and molecules, energetically charged and vibrating at their own frequency. As a being, you literally vibrate. As a result of this vibration, you emit a field of energy around your being that cannot be seen, by can be felt, or sensed, in the exactly the same way that sound waves cannot be seen, they are heard.

Have you ever met someone for the first time and instantly felt uncomfortable, without any explanation? That would be you sensing their energetic field and it not sitting well with your own. In other words, the vibration they are emitting clashes with yours. Now that’s not to say that their vibration will always clash with yours, they may just be having a bad day, and that brings me to my next point.

Everything about you effects your vibration, and therefore your energetic field. Your mood, your health, your thoughts and feelings, the food you have consumed, the colours you have chosen to wear, the events that have influenced your day or week, or longer, and even the people you have in your life and inner circle will all have an effect on the frequency with which you are vibrating. A healthy, happy, human being vibrates at around 62-78MHz, an unhealthy/unhappy person vibrates at less than 59MHz.

And here is where it gets interesting…everything in the Universe has its own vibration. Everything. Even actions and events carry the vibrational signature of their impact on the things and people they interact with. The Universe is made of energy. Nothing more. Nothing less. And it is all vibrating.

Higher frequencies are associated with more positive states of mind, with love being the highest frequency. You know that feeling you get when you are falling in love? That euphoria? That sense of all being right in the world, everything is more beautiful, more engaging, more pleasurable? That’s a higher vibrational state. Lower vibrational states are associated with negative emotions like hate and envy, fear and jealousy, anger and sadness.

We are all programmed to vibrate at the frequency associated with love, but life gets in the way and we are often bombarded with frequency-lowering agendas all day long. So many things lower our vibration, such as illness, trauma, tragedy, but also negative attitudes, feeling unworthy, feeling lack of abundance, and so on and so on. In the same way, the opposites raise our vibration; happy events, celebrations, positive attitudes, love, luck, good friendship, wellness, a sense of achievement, and in particular, gratitude.

The ever-increasing downward spiral I mentioned earlier is commonplace today, and if left untreated, it can lead to ultra-low vibrational states that create depression and anxiety.

The problem is, The Law of Attraction states that like attracts like, therefore, when we find operating from a lower vibration, we inadvertently attract the things associated with this lower frequency; so people often associate it with a feeling like the world is against them, or they are having a run of bad luck, or that nothing ever goes their way. This feeling attracts more low vibrational states and events, even people that are wrong for us, and situations that make us uncomfortable, and thus we are knocked down lower and lower on the vibrational scale….Hence…The downward spiral.

The good news is, the exact same is true for the opposite, and as we raise our vibration, our circumstances and feelings regarding situations improve, which again raises our vibration even more, and so on and so forth. The difficulty is that raising your vibration is something that has to be a constant consideration, and when the world bombards us with things to lower our vibration (like adverts making us feel our lives lack, or pictures making us hate our appearance etc), it is a constant battle to remind ourselves to change the way we think about the world in order to keep our vibration climbing.

We can influence our vibration and help by looking after ourselves and allowing ourselves to be happy regardless of the opinions of others. This is no doubt one of the most challenging but most effective way to fly kick your vibration up several notches.

We can look after ourselves by eating clean, unprocessed, chemical and additive free foods, we can burn incenses like sage and sandalwood, we can meditate and take time to do the things we love, like spending time with loved ones, and relaxing with our favourite book, or keeping up with a hobby.

Crystals work by tweaking certain vibrations within the body, always raising them in order to heal, and helping us let go of those negatively associated emotions and energies.

The aim is to find as much in our lives to be happy and positive about right now and then sit in that feeling of happiness for as long as we can, constantly building on it and being outwardly grateful for it until we reach the realisation that happiness comes from within and our vibration will consistently climb with this kind of mindset, inviting positivity, opportunity, and abundance…Which starts the cycle in a very upwards and highly motivational manner.

The key here is realising that we have the control.

We create our reality.

We control our own vibration.

We can choose to raise or lower our vibration….It’s all about your state of mind.

Chakra Sunday – Throat Chakra

Happy Sunday, folks!

It’s Chakra Sunday time! We have been gradually making our way through all the chakras, what they affect, and how we can help to bring them into balance. Today is the turn on the fifth chakra, and the one responsible for our communication.

The Throat Chakra connects our higher chakras to our centre and the heart, by way of our communication with others, with ourselves, and with the Universe. When this Chakra is out of balance, we may find it difficult to express ourselves, or feel trapped by an inability to speak our own truths. Physically, we can experience problems with the Thyroid Gland, sore throats and sinus infections, or neck and shoulder pain.

Some verbal affirmations can really help to heal the Throat Chakra. Saying out loud,

“I am honest and clear in all my communications. I am able to speak my truth with grace and kindest. My thoughts and opinions are worthy. I express myself with love and I know when to listen.”

With the Throat Chakra, it will be really beneficial if you can say these affirmations out loud, but if you are uncomfortable, or unable to, communicating them clearly to yourself while in meditation will be effective.

Sitting comfortably, take a few deep, cleansing breaths and once you find your rhythm, visualise a bright blue flower sitting upon your throat and opening up little by little with each inhalation. Focus on the colour of the flower and its beautiful blue petals. Take a few moments to pay attention to the area around your throat and any sensations you experience. Don’t worry or let negative thoughts about those sensations distract you, the throat is a sensitive area and sometimes, even in meditation, any sensation of restriction can be alarming. Just let the sensation be, remain calm and bring your attention back to the flower and its petals. Say the above affirmation for as long as you feel necessary.

The Throat Chakra vibrates with a brilliant blue colour, so wearing blues and surrounding yourself with this calming colour will really help. Eating blueberries, currants, blue grapes, blackberries, and dragon fruit will also help.

If you love your crystals as much as I do, Blue Lace Agate is perfect for the Throat Chakra, as is Sodalite, Lapis Lazuli, Aquamarine, and Turquoise. Wearing them as a necklace is the best way to bring them into effect on the body.

Spending some time mindfully looking up at the sky is also a great way to activate this chakra.

Namaste, folks! Thanks for reading…give me a like and a follow if you like what you read, there is more where this came from.

Love and light!

Are you awake yet?

images293y99k7

According to numerology, 2017 is a year 1 (2+0+1+7=10, 1+0=1), and 2016 has been a year 9 (2+0+1+6=9), which means as far as numerology goes, 2016 has been a year of completions and of cycles ending, and 2017 is a year of beginnings. If you take a look at the events of 2016, I’m sure you will notice an abundance of cycles ending in and around your life, whether they be deaths (look at the celebrity deaths this year!), relationships ending, careers changing, friendships distancing, or simply changes in habit patterns and the letting go of emotional issues you thought would be with you for much longer. 2016 has seen us release over and over, sometimes painfully, sometimes surprisingly, sometimes difficultly, but always necessary.

Have you started to wake up? Have you started to feel different? Have you started to notice the world around you in a different way?

I’ve noticed so many people starting to wake up and seek advice or counsel regarding the way they are feeling right now. Some are confused; it’s ok, it can be confusing to navigate and difficult to accept when you’ve always viewed the world in a particular way. Some are excited; that’s ok too, but pace yourself, you are in no rush, there is no end game, just the journey.

Someone asked me recently my advice on where to start, what to read, where to look…The truth is, there is no right answer for this. The biggest lesson you are about to learn is that the only person you should be listening to is yourself.

Let me tell you, there is sooooo much out there that you are going to learn. Right now, it probably seems like you have an awful lot of catching up to do…and you do, an entire universal history of catching up because the reality is, none of this is new! Whether its energy flow, spirit, crystals, tarot, healing, angels, meditation, astrology, manifestation, and a whole abundance of countless other forms and mediums that make up the universal consciousness and things above and beyond our five recognised senses. None of it is new. And all of it is available to you. You just have to listen to what resonates with you.

You will hear that a lot, “What resonates with you…” It means, what speaks to your soul. What feels right. What makes your heart flutter and your stomach flip flop. What feels like love; you know that feeling of falling in love? That curious crush, that exciting new chapter, that feeling of coming home…that’s what it is. The Universe is going to offer you opportunities, so pay attention to the smallest signs. Notice that advert, listen to that conversation, look for that indicator, that coincidence, that thing you can’t shake from your thoughts…The Universe it talking to you and when you start to listen, amazing things will start to happen.

You will face challenges, you will hit brick walls, you will find yourself lost…Don’t panic. Come back to yourself, centre, reassess what’s going on and keep going. There are lessons out there for you to learn along the way…and FYI, they never stop. This is not journey to a destination. There is no award or certificate handed out when you get there… “Congratulations, you are enlightened!” Nuhuh…it doesn’t work like that; this particular journey is going to take you lifetimes! And I can’t even begin to tell you how much peace and happiness it is going to bring you 🙂

You are about to spread so much light into the world simply by following your own path.

That’s the key though….YOUR OWN PATH.

No one else’s.

All you need to do right now is listen. Trust. Smile. You’re already here.

Chakra Sunday – Heart

Today is the turn of our central chakra, the Heart Chakra.

The Heart Chakra  connects our lower chakras, the ones that are predominantly associated with out physical body, with our higher charkas, which are predominantly associated with our spiritual and emotional bodies. In particular, the Heart Chakra deals with love, but not just that of others, it is also enormously connected to the love we have for ourselves. When it is in balance, we feel loved and in harmony with those around us. It helps us to forgive, and allows us to feel compassion. When it is stagnant, out of balance, or blocked, it can bring about feelings of jealousy, fear of abandonment, anger and lack of empathy and compassion. It is physically connected to our circulatory system and lungs, and ailments such as high blood pressure and asthma, among others.

The most effective way to heal the Heart Chakra is to express gratitude and to be compassionate towards yourself as well as others.

Sitting comfortable, take a few deep cleansing breaths and visualise a green flower bud where your heart is. With each breath, the green flower begins to open, and beautiful green light begins to emanate from within it and spreads throughout your entire body. Say out loud, or to yourself;

“I love myself. I have love in abundance. I accept myself and those around me fully, with compassion and grace. I am grateful for all that I have. I am grateful for all that I am. I release any fear of rejection.”

This chakra is associated with the colour green, and being surrounded by the greenery of nature is very healing for the heart. Eating green vegetables will help, as well as wearing green clothes, and carrying green crystals such as Malachite, Jade, Emerald, or Peridot.

Keep your Heart Chakra healthy and open, folks. It is the bridge between the physical and spiritual bodies and when in balance can help influence the activity of the higher chakras enormously.

Love and light, peeps.

Namaste

Chakra Sunday! – Solar Plexus

Ok, ok, so it’s technically Monday, but I spent my Sunday evening preparing for a Crystal Therapy treatment and I don’t think ‘Chakra Monday’ is quite the same…and besides, when it’s this close to Christmas and the weather is cold and wet, we all need a little help from out Sunshine Chakra.

Moving up our Hara Line to the third chakra, the Solar Plexus is located just below the ribs and above the belly button. It is firmly associated with self-confidence, self-esteem, and personal power. When it is off balance it can create a fear of rejection, indecisiveness, passiveness, sluggishness, and a victim mentality that can lead to depression.

Sitting comfortably, ground yourself by taking a few deep, cleansing breaths and visualise that breath being drawn into your Solar Plexus. With each inhalation, imagine the breath becoming a bright yellow light that spreads outward from your body. Feel the warmth of the light like rays of the sun spreading throughout your body from the point of your Solar Plexus. Say out oud, or to yourself,

“I love myself. I accept myself. I am worthy. I am confident. I stand in my own power and release judgements placed upon me, by myself and those around me.”

The chakra really is the Sunshine Chakra and vibrates with the colour yellow and the energy of the sun. Eating yellow foods such as sweetcorn, pineapples, bananas, and turmeric will help keep this chakra in balance, as will wearing the colour yellow and carrying crystals like Citrine, Sunstone, Amber, or Tiger’s Eye.

Pay close attention to this one, folks…Of all the chakras, this one can cause the most trouble when it’s out of balance, even by being too open (which can lead to arrogance), but it can also bring you the most peace and happiness when it is balanced and taken care of.

Love and Light to you all

It Hasn’t Been Easy…

So, I’ve been AWOL for some time now, in almost every one of my writing capacities. I could say it hasn’t been intentional, but it hasn’t been entirely unintentional either. I’ve spent the vast majority of the last 12 months on a massive journey of personal development. To say my whole life has changed would be an understatement. It was not planned, it was not preempted, and it certainly wasn’t expected, yet it has been the most gratifying (and at times difficult) journey that I have ever been on.

Only one thing has remained a constant in this last year, and shall remain a constant in the years to come; first and foremost, I am a mother. But, it is not unreasonable to state that every other aspect of my life is unrecognisable from where I was.

I’ve learned an awful lot about myself along the way, and I will continue to learn an awful lot about myself in the future; I am ever evolving and no matter how much we might want life to stand still on occasion, it has absolutely no intention of doing so, so we must all keep moving, keep learning, and keep growing.

However, I can say without a shadow of a doubt that I am a better person right now than I was. I am a happier person right now than I was.

I believe we all have a path. Call it fate, or destiny, or whatever you choose, but ultimately I believe it is all one in the same. I believe that when we follow that path, we receive great things, we feel fulfilled, we are content. I believe that when we deviate from that path, or fight it, we start to feel unhappy, stagnant, bored, distracted, isolated, disconnected, and any number of negative emotions that we ignore or brush under the carpet.

For me, making the decision to find my way back to my path was a fully conscious and extremely painful one. I had to take every idea and concept I had ever had about my life and its trajectory and cast it all aside. I had to throw away a lifetime of plans and ambitions (of my own and of other’s), and start from scratch. From the beginning. Without a safety net and no light at the end of the tunnel.

I took a leap of faith.

The problem was, I had begun a process of awakening within myself and I had absolutely no way to shut it down. The Universe was going to throw its all at me and I could either choose to embrace what was happening to me, or I could bury my head in the sand and those negative emotions would just begin piling up on top of me.

I fought the decision hard. To be honest, I have fought an awful lot over the past year, but when the Universe has other ideas, there really is no point fighting, because, as a friend of mine likes to point out, it’s just going to keep coming for me till it turns up with a sledgehammer. As has been the case for me on many occasions.

So, I made the decision to embrace my awakening.

Boy, does the game really begin when you do that.

You see, a lot of people have this idea that a journey of self-discovery is all flowery and fluffy with lots of lovely, relaxing, meditations, when in reality, it’s a little more like being a rollercoaster that you have a kind of love/hate thing going on with and you can’t get off. The thing is, this particular path is inevitably painful.

Aside from the actual, physical decisions that I have made, and some of the brutal lessons I have had to confront head on, I have also had my fair share of reality inducing epiphanies. The sort where you actually get to look real hard and real close at the person you are, and the reasons you are the person you are, and either accept them, or let them go.

This. Is. Hard.

We become the idea we have of ourselves and we form an identity through the way we behave and the decisions we make based on the evidence and experience we have in front of us. The problem is, we’re under the illusion that we are solely affected by outside influences and we have a terrible habit of blaming an awful lot of our character of things that have happened to us along the way.

This is the hard bit.

Owning up to the idea that actually, we have always had a choice to react to everything in a different way, or in a better way, is pretty challenging. Taking responsibility for the people that we are, especially the bits we don’t like about ourselves, is not easy.

Confronting things that happened to me with a very realistic attitude, and coming at them in my head from the angle that I actually feel about them, rather than the angle that I’ve convinced myself I should feel about them and then dealing with them emotions is not easy.

Stepping up to the plate and making myself accountable for everything that I do, say, think, and feel, in such a way that I recognise this is my journey, and my path, and no one can help me through this particular part can be lonely, and let me tell you, it is not easy.

I’m not really selling this whole self-development thing, am I?

Well, let me also tell you this…

I could not be happier.

I have a much better understanding of who I am now. For the first time in my life, I can genuinely and honestly say that I like myself and that I’m happy in my own skin.

I’m not fighting against the tide any more. I’m not seeking my happiness externally, with things or ideas. I just am.

I am happy.

I’ve been given so many wonderful gifts since I started this journey; it’s as if I’m being rewarded for progressing up my personal and spiritual ladder, which I suppose I am. I most recently completed my Reiki First Degree, something I have wanted to do for over 10 years but never thought I would get round to. It’s amazing what you manage to ‘get round to’ when you realise you deserve to put yourself first.

And that’s it really, that’s what it’s all about; realising that you deserve to put yourself first. I’ve had a quote that’s gone round and round in my head ever since I started this whole thing, and one day I will have it emblazoned on a wall in my home, or maybe even tattooed on my body…

“You are a child of the Universe; no less than the trees or stars.”

Mind Your Language!

I am a writer. As a result of this, I have learned one very valuable lesson above all others – to mind my language!

It seems obvious but, the most challenging thing I have to do on a day to day basis when I am writing for an audience is to pay close attention to exactly what I am saying; and I mean word-for-word.

Even the most hardcore and devoted reader can often side step the odd punctuation mistake, spelling error, or (heaven forbid!) the occasional grammar mishap – but saying the wrong thing; now that is unforgivable.

Of course, writers write from the heart, they write from experience, and they often write with an opinion; and we all know that you cannot please all of the people all of the time. It is impossible. There is always a chance you will offend someone…Nine times out of ten, you cannot, no way, no how, in any true sense, write a single sentence that everybody can wholeheartedly agree with. And of course, writing should be written with passion. But, all that aside, if you knew the time and energy that goes into wording each sentence, each paragraph, with enough care and attention to detail so as to make what I am trying to say as open, as honest, and as understandable as possible, it would almost certainly surprise you.

There is a fundamental need for clarity.

Every article I have penned has gone out into the world with an intention. Be it mine, or my client’s, there is a very clear and defined intention behind each and every piece, and I am careful with the language I choose. I am always aware that I have an audience.

We all have an audience. The Universe is listening to every thought, every word, every intention.

It occurs to me, that I need to take the same care and pay as much attention to my thoughts and my language in my every day life, as I do in my professional one. I don’t want to send negativity out into the world any more than I want to write a harshly worded article. My audience is listening, and I am creating a reality for it that I willfully attach myself to.

If I write, or think, angrily, then I send anger out into the world, into The Universe, to my audience. I should not expect to receive, or fuel, anything but anger in return, afterall, I set my intention.

On the flip side of this, if I write, or think, or speak with love, with compassion, with honesty, if I choose to look for the positive light, to side step the negativity and turn it on its head, then I send a message to The Universe, to my audience, that can only be received as it is intended; with love, with compassion, with honesty.

I choose to set my spiritual voice with the best possible intentions, in order to receive the very best that The Universe has to offer me.

Recognise the language that you use. Be aware of the thoughts that you have. Be mindful of the words that you speak. You have an audience.

I am selfish…And that’s ok

I am selfish…And that’s ok.

We’re taught that it’s not ok to be selfish, that we must put others first and making ourselves happy is akin with greed and ego. Of course we should teach our children how to share, of course we should be generous in as many ways as we can, of course we should not give in to greed and ego, but when it comes to our soul, we absolutely must be selfish.

I am selfish…and that is ok. In fact, it’s better than ok, it’s absolutely the right thing to do and is what every human being should be first and foremost if they want to find true happiness.

This is your life, your journey, your path. No one else can live it for you and you cannot live anyone else’s. We each have our own lessons to learn and we ARE being shown the way, if we pay attention to the signs.

So, what do I mean by ‘selfish’? Well, I’ve lived the vast majority of my life trying to be accepted and loved by others. I’ve tried to please everyone and make others happy. I’ve put my own needs aside in order to provide a certain lifestyle or environment for those I love. I’m, of course, not referring to the things we sacrifice as mothers and fathers, of course we put our own needs aside for the purpose of raising children, but there comes a point when the sacrifices we make go much deeper than that. They start to infringe on our soul and our actual path. We dull our own sparkle. We put ourselves in a nice restrictive box because at one point in time this was what was required of us and it made other people happy…but time does not stand still. I, no more than you, could not fight it forever, not without making myself bitter and unhappy.

What’s strange to me now, is that I see it everywhere I look; that bitter unhappiness, masquerading as ‘life’. It’s ignored, brushed under that carpet, passed off as ‘life is cruel’, or ‘life’s a bitch’, but the truth is, we create our own reality. Yes, The Universe can seem cruel, it can give us painful lessons, but it is our reaction to those lessons that produces the eventual outcome.

Burying our heads in the sand in the name of ‘getting on with it’, gives us nothing. Accepting negativity and unhappiness brings us nothing but more negativity and unhappiness. But within that, putting our own needs aside for the happiness of others, for fear of rocking the boat while slapping a smile on it will only ever lead to sadness, anger, frustration and unhappiness. It’s a sorry way to spend your life and it happens all the time.

Everything has a ripple effect, and as soon as I realised that I no longer fitted into the neat and tidy box I had created for myself, I started to feel that bitterness, which I could see impacting on the people around me. It’s a strange realisation, to admit that you are unhappy. I mean, deep down, within your soul, unhappy. It starts to fester, to grow like an ever present virus and it feels like poison.

The reality of that was enormous. It had the potential to change the lives of the people I loved the most in an excruciating way. I tried to revert back to the state of happiness that had created the box in the first place. But that state of happiness was actually a point in time that was long in the past, and no matter how hard I fought to return to it, I couldn’t quite get it back. It’s like digging a tunnel in a straight line and expecting to return to where you started.

I made a conscious decision.

I was no longer going to feel like that.

It was a selfish decision. And it was the right one.

“I am not required to set myself on fire to keep other people warm.”

This is my one life, my one journey, my one soul; and I am going to be happy.

As soon as it was decided in my mind, my soul felt a little more at ease. The bitterness started to dissipate. It was a relief.

It was a challenge, the physical act and the ultimate process, but I recognised it was a lesson that I was meant to go through.

I kept my eyes open and my mind as still as possible. I listened to my soul, to The Universe, I followed my instinct; wonderful things started to happened when they needed to happen. For the first time in a long time I felt like The Universe was on my side…it’d always been on my side, I’d just been ignoring all the signs.

Incredibly, there appeared, very quickly, a series of synchronicities that were happy coincidences initially, until they became almost laughably obvious signals that I was finally exactly where The Universe wanted me to be; and the more I became aware of them, the more I received; and the more I received, the more I acknowledged them with a grateful heart.

The result? Happiness. Peace within my soul. An abundance of gratitude for The Universe and the blessings that I have. Courage to confront myself and ask whether or not something is really meant for me, and the contentment that comes from knowing I am on the right path.

I am selfish…And I’m a better person for it.
